Bio
Joey Carrington
Breschi on Carrington: He started out at close defense for the first three weeks of fall practice and then moved to pole for the last two weeks…he excelled at pole…it was almost as if it was a relief to him to get up into the middle of the field where he could run and not have to think as much…I think that will be an easier transition for him to play in the middle of the field…he’s going to add depth at the long-stick middie position…very tough on ground balls…good, strong, physical player in the middle of the field and a solid athlete.
High School: An alumnus of San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif. …was coached there in lacrosse by Peter Worstell…league MVP…three-time All-America…four-time Scholar-Athlete…NCS champions…three-time EBAL champions…six-time winner of crosstown rivalry with Monte Vista…3D national champs…FCA National Lake Placid champs…California Gold MVP.
Personal: Full name is Joseph Walter William Carrington…prefers to go by Joey…son of Walter and Stephanie Carrington…was born February 17, 1998 in Sacramento, Calif. …has two sisters, Catie and Grace…active in community service…Lend A Hand (CPC)…handing out food to service...building houses for poor…high school honor roll student…Dodgeball champions in high school...undeclared major.
