General Information: One of four co-captains of the 2000 UNC men's lacross team... one of the top defensive midfielders in the nation... is at his best when playing defense, winning ground balls and helping with clearing... the fastest player on the UNC team... Herrick is only the second ever Tar Heel men's lacrosse player from the state of Michigan.
1999 Season: Played in all 15 Carolina games...had 14 ground balls... had 10 takeaways which was a career high total for a single season ...had first career point when he registered an assist against UMBC.
1998 Season: Played in all 15 games during his sophomore season...had a career season high 17 total ground balls including three against both Butler and Dartmouth... finished with three takeaways and only one penalty for 30 seconds...had five shots on goal, two of which came against Dartmouth.
1997 Season: Played in 10 games for the Tar Heels in 1997 as a rookie ...had three shots, one ground ball and three takeaways...his furture potential to help the Tar Heels became evident in his freshman year.
Prep Days at Seaholm High School: Played three years of varsity football and four years of varsity lacrosse at Seaholm High School...was a three-time all-conference selection in football as well as being named all-county twice and all-metro twice on the gridiron...was all-state three times and all-Midwest two times in lacrosse...was also an all-America selection once in lacrosse.
