General: Returns to the team after taking two medical red-shirt years in a row in 1999 and 2000...Tar Heels won a major recruiting battle to claim this outstanding player from upstate New York but his career at UNC had been hampered from the start by various injuries...hopes are that he can have a productive senior year...has a brother who played lacrosse at Hobart.

1998 Season: Played in all 15 Tar Heel games and started six games...all six games he started were against nationally ranked opponents...had one goal each against Butler, Delaware and UMBC...finished the season with 38 ground balls, seven of which were claimed against Duke...also had 18 takeaways in his sophomore season.
1997 Season: Played in all 13 games for Carolina in 1997...started against both Johns Hopkins and Virginia...ranked third on the team in assists with eight...had three goals on the year, one each against Maryland, VMI and Virginia...also had two assists against VMI...had 27 ground balls on the season and eight takeaways...his season-high ground ball total was five in the win over Loyola.
Prep: Member of varsity lacrosse and swimming teams for four years at Auburn High School...three-time high school All-America in swimming...swam the 50 and 100-yard freestyles...was a member of a relay team which set a New York state high school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay...was also an All-America in lacrosse...captained team at Auburn High School as a senior...Two-time gold medal winner at the Empire State Games.
