2024 (Graduate): Started in all 14 games during the 2024 campaign • Led the Tar Heels with 29 assists and tied for a team leading 54 points • Had 25 goals on the year, second best for Carolina • Recorded a point in all 14 games • Finished his Carolina career recording a point in all 28 appearances • Had five games with five-or-more points • Scored a hat trick in five contests • Began the season with three goals and four assists in the neutral site victory over Mercer (2/10) • Scored three goals and handed out two assists against Fairfield (2/17) • Had three goals and three assists in the victory at Hofstra (3/9) • Dished out seven assists in the win at Wagner (3/12), the most for a Tar Heel since 1997 and the third most in a single game in program history • Opened ACC play with three goals versus Virginia (4/6) • Scored three goals and handed out four assists in the season finale win over Duke (4/27) • Collected a ground ball in 10 games • Had multiple ground balls in all four ACC games • Caused a turnover against Princeton (3/1) and Wagner (3/12) • Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week following the win over Duke (4/30) • Named to the USILA Team of the Week (5/1) • Voted a team captain prior to the season

2022 (Redshirt-Junior at Bryant): Appeared in and started 14 of the 15 games • Finished second on the team with 54 points • Posted 19 goals and a DI single-season program record 35 assists • Added 20 ground balls • 35 assists were also the fourth-most all-time at Bryant • Recorded multiple points in 13 of the 14 games he appeared in • Notched multiple assists in 10 games • Posted four assists against Bellarmine, Air Force and Brown • Recorded six points (3g, 3a) at Hobart • Posted 4 goals and 2 assists vs Sacred Heart • Finished with eight points (3g, 5a) vs Wagner.
2021 (Redshirt-Sophomore at Bryant): NEILA All-New England Second Team • All-NEC Second Team • Appeared in and started 11 games • Led team in scoring • Scored 20 goals and added 26 assists for 46 points • Picked up 20 ground balls • Notched 5+ points in four contests • Scored three hat tricks • Recorded a goal and four assists in season opener vs Providence • Collected seven points (4g, 3a) in win over Merrimack • Matched his career high with back-to-back eight-point games to end the regular season • Had two goals and six assists for Sacred Heart and three goals and five assists at LIU • Recorded three goals and an assist against Virginia in the NCAA Tournament.
2020 (Redshirt-Freshman at Bryant): College Crosse All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention • Started all seven games • Scored 12 goals and added a team-high 13 assists, ranking second on the team with 25 points • Goal output was tied for third on the Bulldogs • Added 11 ground balls a team-high three man-up goals • Career day of five goals and three assists at Manhattan earned him NEC Player and Rookie of the Week honors • Added multi-goal efforts in the wins over Boston University and Stony Brook • Four games of three assists (Providence, Manhattan, Stony Brook, North Carolina) • Three games of three ground balls (Providence, Manhattan, Stony Brook).
2019 (Freshman at Bryant): Appeared in the first three games of an injury-shortened freshman campaign • Recorded three goals, two assists, 10 ground balls and two man-up goals • Tallied two goals and two assists in the win over Providence (2/16) • Scooped five ground balls in the victory over Dartmouth (2/23).
Prep: Four-time league champion and three-time state champion at Darien (Conn.) HS • Blue Wave posted an 88-5 record in McGovern’s four seasons • Two-time US Lacrosse All-America selection • Two-time first-team all-state honoree • 2018 Connecticut Player of the Year • Tallied 124 points as a junior in 2017.
Personal: Son of Deirdre and Mark McGovern • Has two brothers, Conor and Trevor • Conor played golf at Bryant from 2011-15 • Intends to major in Finance.
