Jonathan Lamb joined the Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning staff in April of 2023.
Lamb serves as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports, directly leading all aspects of training for field hockey, diving, and fencing. Lamb also serves as an assistant for men's basketball.
Prior to his arrival in Chapel Hill, Lamb spent two years at George Washington University. As an assistant strength & conditioning coach, he was responsible for training the women's basketball and volleyball. Before his full-time role at GW, he worked as a graduate assistant there and was responsible for baseball and women's lacrosse.
Lamb spent 2019-20 at UNC in a part-time role, assisting with many different teams, primarily volleyball, track & field, men's lacrosse, gymnastics, baseball, women's tennis and wrestling.
Before to his first stint at UNC, Lamb worked as the Director of Sports Performance at the Sport and Speed Institute, an athletic development facility in Northern Virginia.
Lamb graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in exercise science and a minor in coaching. He went on to earn his M.A. in education and human development in the field of organizational leadership and learning from George Washington.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
He lives in Durham with his wife, Gabby.
