SOPHOMORE SEASON (2025-26)
Went 3-2 in singles in the fall in action at the ITA All-American Championship in the pre-qualifying draw and the ITA Carolina Regional, where he reached the round of 16 in the main draw ... Earned a berth in the NCAA Doubles Championship, teaming with Niels Ratiu and winning the ITA Carolina Regional to qualify ... Along the way, the pair beat #74 Max Stenzer and Sean Daryabeigi of South Carolina in the semifinals and teammates Ian Mayew and Kase Schinnerer in the final ... Xu and Ratiu went 7-2 as a pair in the fall.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2024-25)
Competed as a true freshman and immediately shined as one of the top newcomers in the ACC ... Adapted quickly to collegiate tennis in singles play, going 16-7 overall, 11-4 in dual matches and 4-2 in the ACC regular season ... Went 1-1 at No. 2 singles, 8-2 at No. 3 and 2-1 at No. 4 ... Also went 5-3 in early-season singles tournaments ... In doubles, played primarily at the No. 1 position with graduate student Vladislav Melnic, going 10-7 there ... Went 11-9 overall with Melnic, including 2-7 in the ACC ... Named to the All-ACC Academic Team after the season.
