2017-18: Earned second-team All-ACC honors after finishing second in the 4x400 with a time of 3:08.27 at the ACC Indoor Championships • Competed in the 400 at ACC Outdoors • Captured back-to-back titles in the first two meets of the indoor season • Took first in the 400 at the Carolina Cup after running a 49.73 • Ran a leg of the first-place finishing 4x400 relay at the Notre Dame Invitational that finished in 3:09.73 • Placed third at the Battle of the Blues with a new career record 400 time of 47.74.
2016-17: Took 23rd in the 400 at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships • Ran a personal best 47.90 in the 400 at the Virginia Grand Prix • Began competing in the 400H • Ran a leg in the DMR that finished 11th at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships • Won the 400 at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2015-16: A part of the men's 4x400 relay that took second at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships • A part of the 4x400 relay that finished first at the Doc Hale VT Elite • A part of the men's 4x100m that took first at the Battle of the Blues.

Personal: Amari Nassir DeVaughn is the son of Vida and Alvin DeVaughn • Born October 18 • His cousin won gold in the 1967 Pan American Games as part of the United States' 4x400 relay • He taught himself how to juggle.
