2016-17: Scored at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the high jump, finishing seventh • Earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors • Earned first team All-ACC honors at the indoor conference meet by finishing third in the high jump • Also earned second-team All-ACC honors with a fifth-place finish in the pentathlon with 3,954 points - winning the shot put • Won the Tobacco Road Multis pentathlon • Named to the All-ACC Academic Team for the indoor season • Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team • Was a 2016 Tar Heel Scholar-Athlete • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2014-15: Earned All-ACC honors for finishing third in the high jump at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships • Finished fifth in the pentathlon at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships • Finished fifth in the heptathlon at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a PR at 5,367, which ranks third overall in school history • Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in the high jump • Earned All-ACC Academic Indoor, named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
2013-14: Earned All-ACC honors for finishing third in the pentathlon at the ACC Indoor Championships • Finished fifth in the heptathlon at the ACC Outdoor Championships while setting a new personal record • Set a new personal record in the heptathlon at the USA Junior Trials • Competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Round in the high jump, clearing 5-9 ¾ (1.77 meters) • Named to the All-ACC Academic Indoor and Outdoor Team • USTFCCCA All-Academic Team member • Named to the ACC Honor Roll.
Prep: Was the 2012 USATF National Junior Olympics champion in the high jump and was the fourth-place finisher in the heptathlon at the same championship • Owns 13 state titles in her high school career in five events, including the high jump, long jump, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles and shuttle hurdle relay • Placed fourth in the heptathlon at the 2012 Junior National Championships and reached the competition on a qualifying mark of 4,874 points • Has been named the Conference Runner of the Year twice as a junior and sophomore • Set state records in the high jump at 5-10 (1.78 meters), 300 hurdles at 43.96, and the shuttle hurdle relay at 1:04.07 • Was the 2011 and 2012 Gatorade West Virginia Girl Track and Field Athlete of the Year and the 2011 WVRunners.com Girl Track and Field Athlete of the Year • Served as senior class vice president, was voted Homecoming Queen in 2012, was a member of the National Honor Society, was president the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and contributed much of her time to her church and other charitable causes • Played four years of varsity soccer winning multiple all-state and all-conference honors, including two-time honors as the AAA Midfield of the Year in 2011 and 2012 and National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America.
Personal: Emily Ruth Godwin is the daughter of Jeff and Diane Godwin • Her mother played tennis at West Virginia Wesleyan College and her father played football and track and field at William & Mary • Born April 16.
