Lane is in her first year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach on the Tar Heel staff.
Achieved tremendous success during her four years at Carolina. Qualified for NCAA Regionals each year, three times as an individual and once as a team. During her senior year, she earned qualification for the NCAA Championship as an all-around competitor.
Lane set multiple Carolina records as a Tar Heel. She sits tied for third all-time in UNC history on balance beam with a score of 9.950. With a score of 9.925 on floor exercise, she is tied for tenth all-time in Carolina history. In the all-around, Lane sits fifth all-time with a score of 39.550.
In conference, Lane collected multiple awards of varying magnitudes. Over her four years, she earned weekly EAGL honors eight times (4x Gymnast of the Week and 4x Rookie of the Week). Lane earned First-Team All-EAGL honors on balance beam on two occasions (2015, 2017), on floor exercise on two occasions (2016, 2017) and on all-around on three occasions (2015, 2016, 2018). She earned Second-Team All-EAGL honors on vault (2016), balance beam (2016) and uneven bars (2016, 2017).
At the EAGL Championships, Lane finished second in multiple events on various occasions. She finished runner-up on balance beam (2015, 2016, 2018), on floor exercise (2015, 2016, 2018) and all-around (2015, 2016, 2018).
Lane earned multiple individual awards for season-long accomplishments. In her first year as a Tar Heel she was the EAGL Champion on Floor Exercise. Her third year, she was named the EAGL Gymnast of the Year for her success in the arena. In her last year as a Tar Heel, she earned EAGL Scholar of the Year for her success in the classroom.
Before Carolina, Lane trained at Victory Gymnastics Academy in Columbus, Ind.. She was a Region 5 national team qualifier in 2013 and 2014 and a NIT qualifier in 2012. In 2014, Lane was the Level 10 Indiana State All-Around Champion.
Lane was born in Columbus, Ind. She attended Columbus High School, was ranked in the top five percent of her class and a four-time member of the academic honor roll. Lane has two older sisters, Chelsea and Tessa. In her free time, she enjoys making stained glass windows.
