At KSU, Charles’ focus was on the growth of the Owls’ middle blockers as well as breaking down film and running practices. She also spent a year as an assistant at Midland College, helping to guide three all-conference players in 2011, and spent a year at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where her primary duties included film breakdown and development of the team’s middle blockers.
