Jeremy Young, entering his first season in 2018, comes to North Carolina after spending the past six seasons at Triangle Volleyball Club in Morrisville, North Carolina.
Young joined Triangle in 2012 and has served as an assistant coach in the 13s-16s age groups and as a resource coach in the 14s-18s age groups. He has served as the assistant coach for 16 Black for the past three seasons. In 2018, Young coached 16 Black to the Open division title at the Disney Volleyball Showcase, becoming the third team in Triangle history to win a national qualifier. Young assisted 16 Black to a 13th-place finish in 16 Open Division at USA Volleyball Junior Nationals. In 2017, 16 Black became the first 16s team at Triangle Volleyball Club and Carolina Region history to qualify in the open division for USA Volleyball Junior Nationals. In 2016, Young assisted 16 Black to a top-five finish in the Open Division at AAU Junior Nationals. Additionally, Young also served as an assistant director at Triangle from June 2017 to June 2018.
Young attended Hillsdale College and graduated in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in history and religion. He earned a master's degree in school counseling from UNC Chapel Hill in 2010 and worked for seven years in the public school system as a middle school and high school counselor.
