Head Coach Mike Schall hired Nia Parker-Robinson as an assistant coach for the Carolina volleyball program in April of 2025.
Parker-Robinson returns to Carolina as an assistant coach after a decorated playing career. In her one year as a Tar Heel she played in all 30 matches of the 2021 season, leading the team with 405 kills which was the fifth-most in the ACC garnering her All-ACC Second Team honors. She also was named to the 2021 AVCA All-East Coast Region Team. Prior to playing at Carolina she spent four years at Northwestern where she played in 100 marches, racking up 1,198 kills, 84 blocks, 326 digs, 33 service aces, and 13 assists. She finished fifth in the Big Ten her sophomore year with 394 kills.
"We are grateful that Nia has decided to come back to Carolina as an assistant coach," Coach Schall added. "Beyond Nia's decorated playing career at Northwestern and during her fifth year at Carolina, she has been the ultimate teammate in everything she pursues. Nia makes the people around her better, and I can think of no greater trait as a coach. Her experience as a professional player in the U.S. and overseas will benefit our team and staff."
