Luke Teixeira joined the UNC Athletic Department full-time as an assistant director of event management in July of 2025 after serving as the event management intern during the 2024-25 school year.

He is a native of Johannesburg, South Africa and completed his undergrad degree at UNC, majoring in sport administration with a minor in business administration. During his four years at UNC, Teixeira represented the UNC men’s club rugby team, where he was also named a two-time All-America.

Teixeira was also an admissions ambassador during his undergraduate career and enjoyed showcasing all the opportunities UNC has to offer to future students, particularly international students.
