William Rankin joined the Carolina Football staff in May of 2023 as the Equipment Intern and joined the full-time staff in 2024 as the Assistant Equipment Manager. Rankin made his way down the mountain from Appalachian State University, where he started as a student equipment manager in the spring of 2018. He graduated in the spring of 2022 with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Supply Chain Management.
Rankin served as the Assistant Equipment Manager for the 2022 football season and 2023 spring semester at App St. before moving to Chapel Hill.
Rankin is married to Madelaine Amato.
