ACC/Big Ten Challenge To Be Played Next Week

The inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be played on Tuesday, Nov. 30 and Wednesday, Dec. 1.
Nine games will be played over the two days, four on Tuesday and five on Wednesday.
ig Ten teams Ohio State and Indiana will not be competing. Four games will be played
in ACC arenas, four at Big Ten arenas, while Duke and Illinois will play in Chicago, Ill.
The Tar Heels (3-0), winners of the Maui Invitational, will host Big Ten power Michigan St.
Wednesday night at 9:00 p.m. (ESPN) at the Smith Center. The second-ranked Spartans (3-0),
playing without star point guard Mateen Cleaves,
used a 16-0 run to top Providence 82-58 on Thursday in
the opening round of the Puerto Rico Shootout. Michigan St. then
defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks
59-56 on Friday behind Morris Peterson's 21 points.
South Carolina had upset the Virginia Cavaliers 73-71 on Thursday.
