Men's Golf Finishes Seventh in Hawaii

KAMUELA, Hawaii - North Carolina's men's golf team finished in seventh place at the Mauna Kea Resort Invitational posting a 920 total after shooting rounds of 318-298-304. Clemson captured the team title with an 871 total while International Pacific was the runner-up at 904, Purdue finished third at 905 and East Tennessee State finished fourth at 906.
Lucas Glover of Clemson tallied a three-under-par 213 total after firing rounds of 73-67-73 to take the individual title. Shane Hoshino of Hawaii-Hilo was the runner-up three shots back at even par 216. Masayuki Sunairi of International Pacific finished third at 217 while Clemson's Jonathan Byrd finished fourth at 218 and East Tennessee State's Eamonn Brady finished fifth at 220.
Carolina's Will Snellings was the low Tar Heel finishing in 16th place with a 226 total. Max Harris tied for 21st at 231 while Brad Hyler tied for 30th at 234, Cameron Golden tied for 34th at 236 and Ted Haley tied for 45th at 241.
The 54-hole event was played at the Hapuna Golf Course which features a par 72, 6,875-yard layout.
