CHAPEL HILL --- Defensive linemen Ebenezer Ekuban, Russell Davis and Ross McAllister missed practice Wednesday for the second straight day and tailback Rufus Brown was withheld from practice as a precaution as the University of North Carolina prepared for its final home game of the 1998 college football season.
Ekuban, Davis and McAllister each sprained an ankle in last week's game at Florida State. Ekuban and Davis have been down-graded to questionable. McAllister continues to be questionable for the 12:10 p.m. kickoff against the Terps.
Brown had a muscle cramp in his leg prior to practice and was held out due to the chilly late-afternoon conditions. Tailback Tyrell Godwin and offensive tackle Louis Marchetti have practiced this week. Godwin (sprained knee) and Marchetti (mononucleosis) have missed the last two games.
