CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina's women's lacrosse team will return to action Thursday when the fourth-ranked Tar Heels (2-2) will play host to the 19th-rated Temple Owls (0-1) at Fetzer Field at 3 p.m.
It will be Carolina's first action at home since it opened its season in Chapel Hill March 2. The Tar Heels are coming off an impressive 13-6 win at sixth-ranked Loyola last Friday, while Temple lost to Boston University 10-9 in overtime in its opener last weekend.
The game will be a rematch of the 1998 NCAA quarterfinal game between the two teams which Carolina won 11-10 on a goal by Lori Pasquantonio in the last minute of play.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. Carolina will also play at home this coming Sunday when the Heels host 11th-ranked George Mason at 1 p.m. That match will be played at Navy Field.
