BALTIMORE - Second-ranked North Carolina bounced back from a disappointing season-opening overtime loss to fourth-ranked James Madison this past Tuesday in Chapel Hill by routing Ohio State 19-5 in a game played at a neutral site at Homewood Field on the Johns Hopklins University campus.
The win over the Buckeyes evened Carolinas 1999 season record at 1-1 heading into a huge Atlantic Coast Conference encounter with top-ranked and four-time defending NCAA champion Maryland Sunday at 1 p.m. in College Park, Md.
