Wright, Brown, Teasley Earn ACC Tournament Honors

North Carolina senior Chanel Wright and sophomores Juana Brown and Nikki Teasley earned spots on the All-ACC Tournament team, announced after Monday's women's basketball championship game in Charlotte, N.C.
Wright led the Tar Heels in scoring in their first two games of the tournament with 18 points against Georgia Tech in the quarterfinals and 27 points against Virginia in the semifinals. For the tournament, she averaged 17.7 points per game and shot 24-for-30 from the free throw line.
Brown scored a team-leading 23 points in the championship game against Clemson and averaged 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds for the tournament's three games.
Teasley averaged 20 points per game for the tournament*including 25 against Virginia*and added 6.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.
Teasley was named second team All-ACC during the regular season, while Brown was a member of the third team and Wright an honorable mention.
The Tar Heels defeated Georgia Tech 87-71 in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals and Virginia 83-70 in the semifinals before falling to Clemson 87-72 in the championship game.
UNC is now 26-7 for the season and will begin preparation for the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels hope to receive an at-large bid when the tournament bracket is announced on Sunday.
