Tyrell Godwin went 4-5 and drove in four runs while scoring three more to lead the North Carolina Tar Heels to an 11-3 victory over the Seton Hall Pirates in a rain-delayed game Saturday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.

Kyle Snyder (2-0) gave up four hits and one run in five innings of work to pick up the win.

Godwin had two doubles and a home run as Carolina moves to 4-0 on the young 1999 season.

Seton Hall (0-1) hurt itself with eight errors in their season opener.

The two teams are playing a second game Saturday at 1:45 p.m.
