CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Sophomore guard Juana Brown, who was unable to play in Sunday's game at Georgia Tech, has a mid-foot strain and an ankle sprain and is listed as day-to-day. X-rays performed Monday afternoon to her left foot and ankle were negative and Brown is probable for Thursday's game against Florida State.
rown initially injured her left foot and ankle in North Carolina's Jan. 18 game at Virginia, then aggravated the injury during last Friday's game against Duke. For the season, she is averaging 14.0 points per game and had started every game until Sunday's.
The Tar Heels (19-4, 6-3 ACC) host Florida State Thursday at Carmichael Auditorium. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
