Women's Basketball Tips Off Season on Saturday

Tip-off for the North Carolina women's basketball exhibition game against Tapiolan Honka (Finland) has been set for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. The game will follow the North Carolina-Maryland football game at noon and the men's basketball Blue-White Scrimmage at 4:30 p.m.
Admission to the exhibition against Finland, to be played in Carmichael Auditorium, is free. The game is the first appearance for the 1998-99 women's basketball team, which will play TTT Basketball Club of Latvia in an exhibition on Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. and will open the season Nov. 13 against Akron at 4 p.m.
