Hatchell and Crawley To Sign Autographs

University of North Carolina women's basketball head coach Sylvia Hatchell and assistant coach Sylvia Crawley will sign autographs Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Dick's Sporting Goods in New Hope Commons.The store is located off Route 15-501 between Durham and Chapel Hill.
Hatchell is in her 15th season at UNC and holds a record of 296-151 as coach of the Tar Heels. She has earned National and Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year honors and led UNC to the 1994 NCAA Championship.
Crawley was a standout player for the Tar Heels and is in her first season as a UNC assistant coach. She was a captain of Carolina's '94 championship team and went on to represent the U.S. as a member of several national teams. In addition to her coaching duties at UNC, she plays professionally for the WNBA's Portland Fire.
The Tar Heels currently are 7-5 on the season and travel to play at Clemson on Monday evening. Carolina will host Virginia on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Carmichael Auditorium.
Cross-Triangle rival NC State visits Chapel Hill on Sunday, Jan. 14, when UNC will attempt to set an ACC attendance record. The 1 p.m. game will be played at the 21,750-seat Dean E. Smith Center. The largest crowd in ACC women's basketball history is 14,500 for Virginia's game at Maryland on Feb. 11, 1992.
