This Week's Featured Games:
Toronto at Golden State (Wednesday, Nov. 14, 10:30 p.m., SNET-T): Former Tar Heel teammates Vince Carter and Antawn Jamison square off at the Arena in Oakland. Last Wednesday night in Toronto, Carter scored 39 points, pulled down 10 boards and contributed six assists in a lopsided 109-92 defeat of the Warriors. Jamison tallied 10 points and three rebounds. This will be the final regular season match-up between the two teams.
Utah at Washington (Friday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m., CSN, KJZZ): Michael Jordan will face the Utah Jazz for the first time since the 1998 NBA Finals when he walked off the Delta Center floor with his sixth championship. The Wizards, at 2-5, stand in sixth place in the Atlantic Division. The Jazz are also 2-5 and are in sixth place in the Midwest Division.
Portland at Charlotte (Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m., KGW): Rasheed Wallace will return to the Tar Heel State as a Portland Trail Blazer to face the Hornets in a battle of two of the NBA's playoff teams from 2000-2001. The Blazers are 4-4 entering the week and stand in fourth place in the NBA's toughest division, the Pacific. The Hornets are off to a disappointing 3-3 start, but hope to rebound this week.
Vince Carter (Toronto Raptors)
Last Week: Carter was named the Eastern Conference's Player of the Week averaging 34.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 5 apg. Carter connected on 16 of his 29 attempts from behind the three-point line. He scored a season-high 43 points on Saturday at Utah, nailing 8 three-point shots. The 43-point explosion marked the seventh time in his career that he has notched 40 or more points in a game. Wednesday vs. Golden State, Carter scored a game-high 39, pulled in 10 rebounds and had six assists in 109-92 victory. Carter currently ranks in the top ten of 12 statistical categories and is first in three-point field goals made (23). Carter tallied 22 points in a 96-85 loss at Denver on Sunday. The Raptors, at 4-3, currently hold the sixth best record in the Eastern Conference.

Last Week: Fox scored a season-high 11 points in a 110-86 defeat of Memphis at the Staples Center on Friday night. He had four points, four assists and three rebounds in a 108-95 victory over Orlando on Sunday night. The Lakers are one of only two teams in the NBA with an undefeated record of 6-0 (Minnesota).

Jamison scored 10 points and pulled down three boards in a 109-92 loss to former Tar Heel teammate Vince Carter and the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 7. He currently ranks eighth in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game (3.6)

Last Week: Stackhouse just missed a three-point shot at the buzzer that would have defeated Portland on Nov. 11. Instead, the Pistons dropped their first game in the last five dating back to Nov. 1. Stackhouse had a team-high 29 points and seven assists in the 100-98 loss. Stackhouse has now had led the Pistons in scoring in all but one of their six games. He also recorded team-highs of 26 points and six rebounds in a 101-83 defeat of Utah at home on Nov. 6. Wallace ranks fifth in the NBA in minutes played (305), 13th in field goals made (58) and 10th in defense rebounds (53).
