Three Tar Heels Compete in NBA All-Star Game

Three former Carolina All-Americas, Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse and Rasheed Wallace, competed in the 50th NBA All-Star Game Sunday in Washington, D.C. Carter and Stackhouse were teammates on the Eastern Conference team, while Wallace played for the Western Conference.
Carter was the high-scorer among the former Tar Heels with 16 points in 24 minutes. The Toronto Raptor forward started for the East after leading all All-Stars in fan voting. Stackhouse came off the bench to score seven points in 15 minutes as the East erased a 21-point, fourth-quarter deficit to top the West 111-110.
Wallace played 21 minutes for the West and scored two points to go along with two assists and four rebounds.
