500th Top 10 Poll for Carolina

The University of North Carolina remained No. 1 in the nation in the latest men's basketball rankings released Monday by the Associated Press. This is the second straight week Carolina is ranked No. 1 in the media poll and the 81st week in history UNC has held down the top spot in the poll.
Today's No. 1 ranking is also the 500th poll in which North Carolina has been ranked in the Associated Press Top 10. UNC is just the second school in college b a sketball history to r each 500 Top 10 polls. Kentucky leads with 520 appearances in the Top 10.
Carolina has been ranked in the AP Top 20 or Top 25 a record 643 times. The Wildcats are second with 629 weeks in the AP poll..
