Triangle Classic On Delayed Schedule

Overnight rains left fields too wet to play this morning, forcing the delay of games in the Triangle Classic softball tournament, going on this weekend at Walnut Creek Softball Complex in Raleigh, N.C.
The day's schedule has been pushed back four hours, with games previously set for 10 a.m. scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and noon games now scheduled for 4 p.m.
Saturday's Pool Play Games
Pool A (Field 1)
2 p.m. East Carolina vs. Kentucky
4 p.m. George Mason vs. St. John's
Pool B (Field 2)
2 p.m. Rhode Island vs. Illinois
4 p.m North Carolina vs. Tennessee
Pool C (Field 3)
2 p.m. Elon vs. Virginia
4 p.m Long Island vs. Indiana
Pool D (Field 6)
2 p.m. Boston vs. Youngstown State
4 p.m Liberty vs. Wright State
Pool E (Field 7)
2 p.m. Temple vs. Ohio
4 p.m Minnesota vs. UNC-Wilmington
Pool F (Field 8)
2 p.m. Purdue vs. UNC-Greensboro
4 p.m Radford vs. Miami (Ohio)
Winners of the six pools, plus the two best second-place teams will advance to the gold bracket. The rest of the second-place teams and the four best third-place teams will advance to the silver bracket. The remaining teams will advance to bronze bracket.
Bracket play games are scheduled for Saturday at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Play continues Sunday at 10 a.m. and noon, with the championship games scheduled for 2 p.m.
