Carolina Gymnastics Heads to Raleigh for Heart's Invite

CHAPEL HILL, NC--The University of North Carolina gymnastic team will head to N.C. State to compete in the Heart's Invite against 28th ranked NC State, 20th ranked Iowa, 23rd ranked Kent State and William & Mary on Friday at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
Carolina's record improved to 4-2 after an exciting weekend victory at the Governor's Cup. The Tar Heels finished first in the meet with a score of 194.450. Senior Brooke Wilson scored the first perfect 10 in Carolina history on balance beam finishing tied for second in the all-around.
Also at the Governor's Cup freshman Maddy Curley finished fourth in the all-around (38.950) and second on floor (9.875). Sophomore Natalie Halbach set a personal best on beam with a 9.950 finishing second.
Carolina was scheduled to travel to Virginia to compete against Radford on Friday but the meet was cancelled.
Results will be available on TarHeelBlue.com Friday evening. The Tar Heels next meet is Saturday Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. against NC State.
