Gymnastics Finishes Fifth At ACC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Fifth-seeded University of North Carolina gymnastics finished fifth at the 2026 ACC Championship Saturday in Greensboro, N.C. Carolina recorded a team score of 196.025 with two Tar Heels making the All-ACC Championship Team. Gwen Fink (beam) and JoJo Valahovic (vault) were named to the championship team.
All-Around
Sydney Seabrooks represented the Tar Heels in the all-around this weekend. The freshman recorded a 38.850 on the event. Her highest score of the night came on floor with a 9.875 to lead the team and session one of the competition.
Rotation One – Vault (49.075)
UNC started on vault with their second-best score as a team (49.075) for the day. Both Neve King and Sydney Seabrooks recorded a 9.825 on the event. JoJo Valahovic led the way with an impressive 9.850 to take first place on vault in the first session while landing All-Championship Team honors.
Rotation Two – Bars (48.725)
On the second event of the night, three Tar Heels recorded a 9.800 for the team's best score on bars. The gymnasts that led the team in scoring were Gwen Fink, Cami Rueda, and Claire Stippich.
Rotation Three – Beam (48.975)
Carolina notched a 48.975 as a team on the third rotation. Gwen Fink led the way with a 9.900 with JoJo Valahovic right behind recording a 9.850. Both Tar Heels took first and second on the event for session one of the championships. Fink's score also secured her spot on the All-Championship Team.
Rotation Four – Floor (49.250)
UNC put together their best performance of the night on floor. Both Kaya Forbes and Sydney Seabrooks topped the event with a 9.875 each. Cami Rueda and Jessica Naranjo also had strong showings on floor each recording a 9.850.
