* Carolina advances to the ACC Tournament semifinals to play Georgia Tech in the semifinals.
* The Tar Heels are now 73-31 all-time in ACC Tournament play. Carolina has more ACC Tournament wins than any other school.
* With today's win, Carolina has a record of 34-9 as the No. 1 seed.
* Carolina is now 12-1 against Clemson in ACC Tournament play and 32-10 overall in quarterfinal games.
* After shooting a season-low 38.5 percent from the floor in a 75-65 loss at Clemson on Feb. 18, the Tar Heels shot 54.7 in today's 99-81 win.
* Carolina held its 24th consecutive opponent to under 50 percent shooting from the floor, as Clemson shot 46.3.
* Carolina has now won 22 of its last 26 games against Clemson beginning in the 1990-91 season.
* Capel led the Tar Heels in scoring with 23 points, his third game with at least 20 points this season. Capel had a career-high 27 points versus Maryland on Feb. 10 and 20 at Duke on Feb. 1.
* Jason Capel had a career-high six three-pointers on 6-for-6 shooting from beyond the arc. His previous high was four on two occasions. His six three-pointers are a new school record for most threes by a Carolina player in the ACC Tournament.
* Ronald Curry had a career-high 10 assists in the game. He had nine assists in the first half, eclipsing his previous career high of eight. It was the first time a UNC player had 10 or more assists since Jason Capel had 10 on his way to a triple-double against Buffalo on Dec. 17, 2000.
* Max Owens scored 10 points off the bench, his first double-digit scoring game since Jan. 24 vs. Virginia.
