Men's Tennis Prepares For VCU

Chapel Hill, NC - The North Carolina men's tennis team will travel to Richmond, Virginia on Saturday to battle the Virginia Commonwealth Rams. The match is scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. start and will be played at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.
The #41 Tar Heels are currently 8-6 on the season and are coming off of a 5-2 loss to Wake Forest on Wednesday. The #34 VCU Rams are currently 13-9 on the year and coming off a Wednesday loss to Virginia. The teams met last season with the Heels coming out victorious by a 4-3 score.
The Heels are traveling out of conference for the final time this season before finishing up the rest of the ACC season. The Heels are currently 4-1 in ACC play this season and await league foes Duke, Georgia Tech, and Clemson to finish the season.
The Heels will most likely keep their same lineup from their match against Wake Forest. Singles included #1 Marcio Petrone, #2 Nicholas Monroe, #3 David Cheatwood, #4 Trystan Meniane, #5 Greg Archer, and #6 Chad Riley. The doubles draw was #1 Cheatwood/Monroe, #2 Archer/Petrone and #3 Meniane/Riley.
