Jamie Bryant has been hired as a graduate assistant football coach at North Carolina. Bryant comes to Chapel Hill after spending the 2000 season as the defensive coordinator and secondary coach at St. Francis University (Div. I-AA) in Pennsylvania.

A native of Frederickson, Ohio, Bryant graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a degree in economic management in 1993.

He was head coach at East Clinton High School in Ohio from 1993-95 and was an assistant coach at Anderson High School in Cincinnati in 1996.

ryant was the special teams coordinator and secondary coach at Clarion University in Pennsylvania from 1997-99 before accepting the position at St. Francis.
