Coach John Bunting and the Tar Heels will arrive at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Saturday for the Old Well Walk through Polk Place.
Join hundreds of Tar Heel fans in cheering on players, coaches and spirit leaders as they march through Polk Place toward Kenan Stadium.
Enjoy the opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow alumni, students and staff as the Tar Heels prepare for their upcoming game.
The Old Well Walk has quickly become a proud tradition of the UNC football program here in Chapel Hill.

TAILGATING AT CAROLINA FOOTBALL

CHAPEL HILL -- Tar Heel Town, the free, outdoor festival before every home football game at the University
of North Carolina, will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 12), before the Tar Heels and the
Maryland Terrapins square off at 1:30 p.m..
The pre-game party on Polk Place is held on the quad between South Building on Cameron Avenue and Wilson
Library on South Road.
Head coach John Bunting and the Carolina football team will arrive for the "Old Well Walk" at approximately 11:15 a.m. beginning at Cameron Avenue and continuing through the quad and around the Bell Tower to Kenan Stadium.
Carolina's student
band, The Marching Tar Heels, will sound a musical welcome when the team bus arrives. Fans may offer encouragement as the players head for the stadium to suit up, walking
through a spirited musical tunnel created by the band.
The Marching Tar Heels will escort fans from Tar Heel Town to Kenan Stadium in time for their pre-game
show of traditional Carolina athletics songs including "Here Comes Carolina" and "Aye! Zigga Zoomba."
Tar Heel Town is accessible to all via brick sidewalks along the quad. Visitors are encouraged to park in the
pay lots off Franklin and Rosemary streets or ride Tar Heel Express Bus Shuttles. Buses will run to the
festival beginning at 9:30 a.m. from the N.C. 54 East park-and-ride lot across from the William and Ida B. Friday
Continuing Education Center and the parking lot beside Belk's at University Mall. Buses will run from Carrboro Plaza off N.C. 54 West and the Southern Village park-and-ride lot on U.S. 15-501
south of Carrboro. Fares will be $2 one-way and $4 round-trip. For more information, visit the World Wide
