CHAPEL HILL -- University of North Carolina senior forward Jason Capel suffered a mild concussion in practice on Tuesday and was unable to make the trip to Tallahassee with the UNC team in advance of Wednesday night's game at Florida State. Capel, who leads the team in scoring and rebounding, suffered the concussion while diving for a loose ball.
UNC trainer Marc Davis listed Capel as doubtful for tomorrow night's game but Capel will be reevaluated Wednesday morning.
The Tar Heels (5-8) play the Seminoles at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in an ESPN2 nationally televised game. Capel leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in rebounds at 10.3 and is seventh in the league in scoring at 16.8 points per game.
