Junior forward Will Johnson on Wake Forest...
"They have a good team. We turned the ball over a lot early. I think that hurt our fluidity on offense and maybe our confidence a little bit. They are an experienced team and they felt it today. The only thing we can do now is come back and play hard. I think we will do that on Wednesday."
Johnson on the Deacons' physical play...
It was pretty physical. They have a physical team - [Darius] Songalia, Josh Howard, [Craig] Dawson in the two-spot, and the guys they bring off the bench - they are all physical guys, tough guys. We need to match that, and at times we didn't today."
Sophomore guard Adam Boone on his playing time...
"As I'm sure any player will tell you he'd rather be on the court than on the sidelines. I'm happy to be out there, but in the end, I just want to win. Whatever it takes to get a win for this team, for this bunch of guys, I'm willing to do."
Boone on the Tar Heels' next game...
"I think we're going to come back in here and hopefully work hard and understand it will take a higher level to beat a team like Maryland, especially at Maryland. I have no doubt that our team is capable if we do all the right things and understand the level it's going to take for us to play at."
