With so many new faces on the Carolina men's basketball team and UNC's first preseason game just a few weeks away, we thought you might enjoy learning a little more about your favorite Tar Heels off the court.
Some die-hard fans may already know that Will Johnson is a Morehead Scholar, that Jonathan Holmes was a runner-up for Indiana's Mr. Basketball Award and that Jawad Williams was a McDonald's All-American in high school.
ut did you know that Holmes would love to be a better skateboarder, that Melvin Scott is a big tennis fan or that Damion Grant's favorite food is Ackee and saltfish? How many of us have even heard of Ackee?
With that in mind, we asked the Tar Heels to tell us a variety of interesting facts about themselves, starting today with what their favorite vacation spot is, what's their favorite TV show and what are their favorite foods. For the record, Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica.
