This Week's Featured Games:
Portland at Washington (Wednesday, Feb. 27, 7:00 p.m., DTV, CSN, KGW): The Portland Trail Blazers come into the week having won five games and in a row, while Michael Jordan's Wizards have dropped five straight. Former Tar Heel Rasheed Wallace has helped turn Portland around for first-year head coach Maurice Cheeks. The Blazers, at 31-24, are trying to move up the Western playoff pole. The Wizards, at 27-28 are just trying to get back into the Eastern Conference seedings. Carolina alumni Hubert Davis and Brendan Haywood also play for Washington.
Portland at Toronto (Friday, March 1, 7:00 p.m., DTV, KGW, SNET-T): Portland will continue its four game Eastern swing when its heads north of the border to face Vince Carter and the Raptors. Toronto has dropped eight consecutive games, but finally got Carter back from a knee injury on Sunday. The Blazers are paced by Rasheed Wallace (19.3 ppg) and Bonzi Wells (17.0 ppg). The Raptors are led by Carter (25.6 ppg) and Morris Peterson (13.1 ppg).
Detroit at Charlotte (Sunday, March 3, 3:00 p.m., DTV, FSD-Det): Jerry Stackhouse returns to the Tar Heel State with his resurgent, 31-23 Pistons. Detroit has won eight straight and has climbed into the East's third playoff spot. The Hornets are one game under .500 and 4.5 games behind Detroit in the Central Division. Charlotte, however, at 27-28, still has a loose grip on the East's eighth playoff spot at week's start. The Hornets' aron Davis puts up 19.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg and 8.6 apg. Stackhouse gets 22.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 5.1 apg for Detroit.
Vince Carter (Toronto Raptors)
Last Week: Carter played Sunday for the first time since Feb. 7, when
he suffered a lower leg injury. He posted a game-high 28 points to go along
with two rebounds, one assist and a steal in a 101-92 home loss to Seattle.
Toronto has lost eight straight games and, at 29-29, is in third place in
the Central Division at week's start. Carter currently ranks fifth in the
NBA in points per game (25.6), ninth in three-point field goals made (107),
10th in minutes per game (40.4), and 17th in steals per game (1.64).

Hubert Davis (Washington Wizards)
Last Week: Davis contributed five points, one rebound and one steal
off the bench in Washington's 92-80 road loss to the Heat on Sunday. He
scored no points and grabbed one board in just four minutes of play in
Saturday's 97-95 home loss to Miami. Davis scored 12 points, pulled one
rebound and made one assist in the Wizards' 93-82 home loss to the Nets on
Thursday. He posted 17 points, two rebounds and two assists in a 97-90 road
loss to Detroit on Wednesday. Davis also put up nine points, one rebound,
one assist and one steal in Monday's 102-89 home loss to the Rockets.
Washington has lost five straight games and, at 27-28, is in fifth place in
the Atlantic Division. Davis currently ranks sixth in the NBA in three-point
field-goal percentage (.455).

Joseph Forte (Boston Celtics)
Last Week: Forte did not play in any of the Celtics' three games last
week. The team placed him on the injured list, meaning he will have to miss
a minimum of five games before returning to the lineup. This is the second
time Forte, who has played in a total of six games this season, has been
placed on the injured list. Boston is second in the Atlantic Division at
31-25.

2001-02 Season Stats: 0.7 ppg, 0.7 rpg, 0.8 apg
Rick Fox (Los Angeles Lakers)
Last Week: Fox had seven points, three rebounds, three assists and
three steals in the Lakers' 107-91 victory over the Knicks at Madison Square
Garden on Sunday. He also tallied six points, a game and season-high 11
rebounds, two assists and two steals in Friday's 96-94 win at Charlotte. On
Thursday, Fox posted nine points and two rebounds in Los Angeles's 104-97
win at Cleveland. He had nine points, five rebounds, a team-high eight
assists and two steals in a 109-108 home loss to the Celtics on Tuesday. Los
Angeles is now 38-16 and is in second place in the Pacific Division.

Last Week: Haywood grabbed a rebound and blocked a shot in eight
minutes off the bench in Washington's 92-80 road loss to Miami on Sunday. He
also had six points, one assist and six blocked shots in the Wizards' 97-95
home loss to the Heat on Saturday. Haywood contributed a rebound and a steal
in eight minutes of play in Thursday's 93-82 home loss to New Jersey. He put
up five points, one rebound, one assist and two blocks in a 97-90 road loss
to Detroit on Wednesday. On Monday, Haywood had two rebounds and two blocked
shots in Washington's 102-89 home loss to the Rockets. The Wizards, at
27-28, are tied for eighth in the East at week's start. Haywood ranks
seventh in the NBA in blocks per 48 minutes (3.7) and 15th in offensive
rebounds per 48 minutes (5.4)

Last Week: Jamison scored six points to go along with seven rebounds,
one assist and two steals in Golden State's 105-91 road loss at Chicago
Saturday. On Friday, he contributed 23 points, a team-high 11 rebounds and
one assist in the Warriors' 116-112 loss at Milwaukee. Jamison 16 points,
pulled six rebounds, made a steal and blocked a shot in Wednesday's 114-107
loss at Philadelphia. On Tuesday, he tied for a team-high with 25 points,
eight boards and one assist in a 123-115 road loss to the Nets. The
Warriors, at 15-38, are in seventh place in the Pacific. Jamison is
currently tied for 27th in the NBA in points per game (19.1) and is ranked
17th in free throw attempts (281).

Last Week: Jordan scored nine points to go along with five rebounds,
six assists, and three steals in Washington's 92-80 loss at Miami on Sunday.
He sat out the final 6:27 of that contest and said afterward that he was
considering going on the injured list. That would cause him to miss a
minimum of five games. Jordan also posted a game-high 37 points, five
rebounds and seven assists in Saturday's 97-95 home loss to the Heat. He had
a team-high 16 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals in the
Wizards' 93-82 home loss to New Jersey on Thursday. Jordan sat out
Washington's 97-90 loss at Detroit on Wednesday due to a bruised right knee.
On Monday, He tallied 11 points, six rebounds, and a season-high 11 assists
in a 102-89 home loss to the Rockets. The Wizards, who have dropped five
straight games, are 27-28 and in fifth place in the Atlantic Division at
week's start. Jordan currently ranks eighth in the NBA in points per game
(24.3) and first in the league in field goal attempts per 48 minutes
(30.49).

George Lynch (Charlotte Hornets)
Last Week: Lynch had nine points, a game-high 11 rebounds, four
assists and one steal in Charlotte's 95-93 loss at New Jersey on Sunday. On
Friday, he had two points, five rebounds and one assist in a 96-94 home
defeat of the Lakers. Lynch registered ten points, five rebounds, two
assists and three steals in the Hornets' 78-77 win at Toronto on Wednesday.
He also contributed three rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block in the
Hornets' 101-92 win at Milwaukee. Charlotte is 27-28 and in fourth place in
the Central Division at week's start.

Jeff McInnis (Los Angeles
Clippers)
Last Week: McInnis tied for a team-high with 23 points, three
rebounds and four assists in the Clippers' 106-88 loss at Indiana on
Saturday. He had 18 points, two rebounds and four assists in Thursday's
119-102 road loss to the Magic. McInnis tallied 14 points, three rebounds
and 11 assists in Wednesday's 81-71 victory at Miami. He also had 10 points,
two rebounds and six assists in a tough 80-79 home loss to Portland on
Monday. The Clippers are 27-30 and are in sixth place in the Pacific
Division at week's start. McInnis is currently ranked 17th in the NBA in
assists per game (5.8), ninth in assists per turnover (3.35) and ninth in
total minutes played (2,126).

Eric Montross (Toronto
Raptors)
Last Week: Montross did not play in Toronto's 101-92 home loss to the
Sonics on Sunday. He pulled one rebound and made a steal in seven minutes as
a starter in Friday's 80-72 home loss to Detroit. Montross scored six
points, pulled five rebounds, made an assist and blocked two shots as a
starter in a 78-77 home loss to Charlotte on Wednesday. On Monday, he posted
three points and two rebounds in the Raptors' 89-76 loss at Detroit. Toronto
enters the week at 29-29, and is in third place in the Central Division.

Last Week: Stackhouse tied for a team-high posting 19 points, three
rebounds, six assists, and one steal in an 89-82 Pistons' loss at Milwaukee
on Sunday. He posted 13 points, four rebounds, seven assists, and one steal
in a 80-72 win at Toronto on. On Wednesday, Stackhouse had five points, one
rebound and one assist in Detroit's 97-90 home defeat of Washington. He also
tied for a game-high 21 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals
in an 89-76 home win against Toronto on Monday. The Pistons, at 31-23, are
in second place in the Central Division at week's start. Stackhouse
currently ranks 13th in the NBA in points per game (22.3) and eighth in free
throws made (303).

Nuggets on Saturday. He scored a team-high 20 points, pulled six boards,
dished two assists and made a steal in the Blazers' 96-81 home defeat of the
Hawks on Thursday. On Wednesday, Wallace totaled a team-high 18 points,
eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in a 90-84 win at Seattle. He
also had 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists and a block in an 80-79 road
win against the Clippers on Monday. The Trail Blazers are 31-24 and in third
place in the Pacific Division. Wallace ranks 24th in rebounds per game (8.1)
and is tied for 26th in points per game (19.3).

Nuggets' 110-99 home loss to Utah on Wednesday. On Monday, he had two
points, one rebound and two steals in a 110-83 loss at Philadelphia. Denver
is 16-37 and is in sixth place in the Midwest Division.

Shammond Williams (Seattle
SuperSonics)
Last Week: Williams had two rebounds, one assist and two steals in 13
minutes off the bench in the Sonics' 101-92 win at Toronto on Sunday. He
also had six points, a season-high four rebounds and an assist in Friday's
99-96 home win over the Hawks. Williams did not play in either of Seattle's
other two games last week. The Sonics, at 30-26, are in fourth place in the
Pacific and hold the West's eighth and final playoff spot and week's
start.
