NCAA Action Starts Saturday In Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.?The University of North Carolina will host first and second round NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament action on Saturday and Monday at Carmichael Auditorium. Play begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday with a matchup between fifth-seeded Minnesota (21-7) and 12th-seeded UNLV (23-7). At 7:30, fourth-seeded UNC (24-8) will play 13th-seeded Harvard (22-5).
The first-round winners will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. for a spot in the Midwest Region semifinal. The second-round game will be televised live by ESPN2.
Tickets to the games are $10 for adults and $6 for students (grade school, high school or college). Packages that include admission for both days are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the UNC ticket office at (919) 962-2296 or (800) 722-4335.
Under NCAA security procedures, spectators will not be allowed to bring backpacks or large bags into Carmichael Auditorium. All small bags are subject to search.
For each game, a free Carmichael Auditorium shuttle will be available from the Bell Tower parking lot, located off of South Road near Kenan Stadium.
