SERIES VS. OLD DOMINION
Carolina leads the all-time series with Old Dominion, 6-0, with all six meetings coming since the 1988-89 season. The Tar Heels have beaten the Monarchs in 1988-89, 1989-90, 1992-93, 1993-1994, 1997-98 and 2002-03.
Last season, the Tar Heels beat ODU, 67-59, in the first-ever game at the Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Va. In that contest, Carolina's starting frontcourt of Jawad Williams, Sean May and Rashad McCants combined for 51 points to lead UNC to the victory. The Tar Heels held the Monarchs to 29.2 percent shooting from the floor, Carolina's second-best defensive effort of the season (bested only against St. John's, when the Red Storm shot 28.2 percent).
