Scouting the Pride
Hofstra will open its season on Sunday at UNC. The Pride finished 8-21 last season, head coach Felisha Legette-Jack's first at the school.
Junior forward Amaka Agugua led the team in scoring (11.3 points per game) and rebounding (7.0 per game) last season. She is one of five letterwinners returning from last year's squad.
Little doubling up
Freshman forward Camille Little has turned in a double-double all three times she has played in a Carolina uniform. A starter on Friday against St. Francis (Pa.) in her first official college action, Little led the Tar Heels with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
She also had double-doubles in both exhibition games, with a team-high 25 points and 14 rebounds against Premier Players on Nov. 5 and 16 points, 12 rebounds against West Coast All-Stars on Nov. 10.
