NFL Update: Week Thirteen

Week thirteen of the 2003 NFL season was a productive one for several former Tar Heels.
Adding to his return totals from week 12, Leon Johnson of the San Diego Chargers, had two punt returns totaling 20-yards and five kickoff returns for 169-yards total in the Chargers' 28-24 loss to the Chiefs.
Sedrick Hodge, of the New Orleans Saints,had seven tackles in the Saints' 24-20 victory over the Redskins.
On Thanksgiving day, Dre` Bly of the Detroit Lions, had one tackle, one assist, two interceptions, three pass deflections and one fumble recovery in the Lions' 22-14 victory over the Packers.

Sam Aiken, Buffalo Bills- Injured Reserved
Ethan Albright, Washington Redskins- substituted at long snapper in the Redskins' 24-20 loss to the Saints.
Dre` Bly, Detroit Lions-started at cornerback and had one tackle, one assist, two interceptions, three pass deflections and one fumble recovery in the Lions' 22- 14 victory over the Packers.
Alge Crumpler, Atlanta Falcons-started at tight end and had four receptions for 48-yards total and made one tackle in the Falcons' 17-13 loss to the Texans.
Ronald Curry, Oakland Raiders- substituted at wide receiver and had one tackle and one assist on special teams in the Raiders' 22-8 loss to the Broncos.
Russell Davis, Arizona Cardinals- started at defensive tackle and one tackle and one assist in the Cardinals' 28-3 loss to the Bears.
Kevin Donnalley, Carolina Panthers-started at offensive guard in Carolina's 25- 16 loss to the Eagles.
Ebenbzer Ekuban, Dallas Cowboys- started at defensive end and had one tackle and one forced fumble in the Cowboys' 40-21 loss the Dolphins.
Greg Ellis, Dallas Cowboys- started at defensive end and had one tackle and one assist in the Cowboys' 40-21 loss to the Dolphins.
enardo Harris, Baltimore Ravens- Injured Reserve.
William Henderson, Green Bay Packers- substituted at fullback and one tackle on special teams in the Packers' 22-14 loss to the Lions.
Zack Hilton, New Orleans Saints- substituted at tight end in the Saints' 24-20 victory over the Redskins.
Sedrick Hodge, New Orleans Saints- started at linebacker and had seven tackles in the Saints' 24-20 victory over the Redskins.
Vonnie Holliday, Kansas City Chiefs- started at defensive end and four tackles in Kansas City's 28-24 victory over San Diego.

Keith Newman, Atlanta Falcons- started at linebacker and had two tackles and two assist in the Falcons' 17-13 loss to the Texans.
Julius Peppers, Carolina Panthers- started at defensive end and had two tackles in the Panthers' 25-16 loss the Eagles.
Jeff Reed, Pittsburgh Steelers- kicked two field goals of 23- and 39- yards and converted two point-after conversions in the Steelers' 24-20 loss to the Bengals.
Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis Colts- started at center in the Colts 38-34 loss to the Patriots.
rian Simmons, Cincinnati Bengals- started at linebacker and had six tackles, two assist, one forced fumble and one sack in the Bengals' 24-20 victory over the Steelers.
Ryan Sims, Kansas City Chiefs- started at nose tackle and had and had one tackle in the Chiefs' 28-24 victory over the Chargers.
David Thornton, Indianapolis Colts- started at linebacker and eight tackles on regular defensive plays and two tackles on special teams, one assist and one pass deflection in the Colts 38-34 loss to the Patriots.
racey Walker, Detroit Lions- substituted at safety and one tackle on regular defensive plays and two tackles on special teams in the Lions' 22-14 victory over the Packers.
