GREENSBORO, N.C. -- In being named ACC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, North Carolina?s Rashad McCants scored 26 points as the Tar Heels beat ninth-ranked Duke 82-79 in Chapel Hill Sunday.
The Asheville, N.C., product was 12 of 16 from the floor, including a critical three-pointer to break a 72-all tie. McCants is the league?s leading freshman scorer (16.9 points per game).
