NEW YORK, N.Y. - University of North Carolina midfielder Amy Steadman was named Wednesday to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week Wednesday. The freshman from Brevard, N.C. was tapped for games played in the week ending September 21.
Soccer Buzz editors said of Steadman, "Versatile midfielder/back anchored two shutouts over Richmond (2-0) and Guilford (9-0) while dishing two assists and scoring game-winning goal vs UCLA (5-2)."
Carolina continues its schedule Friday with a match at Navy at 7 p.m. UNC is 9-0 and the consensus No. 1 team in the nation.
