Less Than 5,000 Tickets Remain For 2004 Continental Tire Bowl

Charlotte, N.C. - There are less than 5,000 tickets remaining for the 2004 Continental Tire Bowl, bowl officials announced on Tuesday. The December 30th game pits Boston College against the University of North Carolina at the 73,367-seat Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The bowl office had originally hoped for a crowd of between 45,000 and 50,000 for the game.
College football's first bowl game to call the Carolinas home, the third-annual Continental Tire Bowl will take place on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. The game is certified to and operated by Charlotte-based Raycom Sports.
"We are very excited to be at this point in terms of ticket sales," said Executive Director Will Webb. "The support for the game has been outstanding. North Carolina fans have more than proven their faithfulness. This is great for the game and the city of Charlotte. The festivities leading up to the game should really drive crowds to uptown Charlotte."
Upper Level Seats are priced at $27.50, and Lower Level seats are available are $52.50 while Club Level seats are sold out.
