UNC Softball Travels to Oklahoma

The North Carolina softball team will travel to the Sooner state for a four-day set of games including a doubleheader at No. 4 Oklahoma. UNC will play at Oklahoma State (4-3) on Thursday at 4 p.m. and then travel to Norman, Okla. on Friday for the three-day OU/Nike Tournament. The Tar Heels are 3-2 this season and are on a three-game winning streak heading into this weekend's action.
In the OU/Nike Tournament, UNC will play Sam Houston State (4-5) on Friday at 10 a.m. in a doubleheader and then on Saturday face fourth-ranked Oklahoma (6-0-1) in another doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m. The Tar Heels wrap up their trip with a doubleheader on Sunday versus Louisville (4-3) at 10 a.m.
The Tar Heels are led this season by seniors Emily Price, Dionne Streete and Jessica Graziano as well as sophomore pitchers Crystal Cox and Alison Yin. Price is coming off a strong performance at the Triangle Classic, as she hit two home runs and drove in six runs to lead North carolina to a 3-0 record for the weekend.
Streete and Graziano have also been keys to the offense, as Streete is batting .400 this season with a team-leading six runs scored. Graziano is batting .333 and is second on the team with three RBI's.
The pitchers for UNC allowed just one run during the three-games at the Triangle Classic. Cox pitched 10 shutout innings, with 10 strikeouts and picked up two wins during the weekend. Yin pitched five scoreless innings and picked up a win against Radford.
