Tar Heels Celebrate Senior Day

Before the final home game of the regular season on Feb. 29, the UNC women's basketball team recognized senior players Carrie Davis and Candace Sutton, as well as senior manager Tia Overstreet. All three were introduced, along with their parents, and received flowers from coach Sylvia Hatchell at midcourt.
At halftime, UNC honored the alums in attendance at the game. Included in that group were members of the 1994 NCAA Championship team, which had celebrated the 10th anniversary of its title with a banquet the night before.
Led by 16 points each from Sutton and freshman Camille Little, the Tar Heels went on to defeat Virginia 70-64.
