Since being traded from the Toronto Raptors to the New Jersey Nets on December 17, 2004 former Tar Heel Vince Carter has increased his averages in points, rebounds, and assists per game. Carter averages 23.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.4 for the Nets.
Update on former Tar Heels in the NBA:
Vince Carter, New Jersey Nets - Had a season-high 33 points and 9 assists in the Nets' win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Carter leads the Nets in points per game and is currently ranked ninth in the NBA in field goals per 48 minutes.
Brendan Haywood, Washington Wizards - Started in all three games in the 12th week. Haywood posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Wizards' 95-93 victory over the Indiana Pacers. He currently ranks in the top ten in the NBA in blocks per game and offensive rebounds per game.
Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards - Recorded his 17th double-double of the season with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the Wizards' 118-109 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Jamison leads the team in rebounds per game. The Wizards are on a three-game winning streak heading into Wednesday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
George Lynch, New Orleans Hornets - Averages 4.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game heading into the 13th week of the season.
Jeff McInnis, Cleveland Cavaliers - Had 11 points and seven assists in the Cavaliers' 107-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. After 12 weeks of play McInnis has helped lead the Cavaliers to the number one spot in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference.
Jerry Stackhouse, Dallas Mavericks - Recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds in the Mavericks' 95-93 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Stackhouse is averaging 15.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
Rasheed Wallace, Detroit Pistons - Had 15 points and eight rebounds against in the Pistons' loss to the Chicago Bulls. Wallace has stared in 40 of 41 games for the Pistons this season.
Scott Williams, Cleveland Cavaliers - Averages 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds heading into the 13th week of the season.
