Latta Named ACC Player Of The Week

For the second time this season, North Carolina point guard Ivory Latta has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week.
Latta averaged 21 points last week and was the team's leading scorer in both games as UNC finished the regular season with a pair of ACC wins. Against Virginia in the final home game of the regular season, Latta hit all four of her three-point attempts and finished the game with 19 points. In a win at Duke on Sunday, UNC's first at Cameron Indoor Stadium since 1997, Latta again led the way with four three-pointers and 23 points, her sixth 20-point game of the season. For the week, she shot .542 from the field, .615 (8-13) from three-point range and .889 (8-9) from the free throw line.
On the season, Latta leads UNC with 15.9 points and 4.7 assists per game. She is shooting .404 from the field and .381 from three-point range.
Latta ranks first in the ACC in free throw percentage (.908), second in three-pointers per game (2.6), fifth in assists, sixth in scoring and sixth in three-point percentage (.381). With 69 three-pointers this year, she is tied for fourth on UNC's single-season chart.
Latta's first honor of the year came in the opening week of the season following UNC's win over No. 4 Connecticut.
