Former Tar Heel Rasheed Wallace recorded his 19th double-double of the season in the Detroit Pistons' 103-92 victory over the Toronto Raptors. He scored 18 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked two shots in that outing. Wallace has helped the Piston's to a first-place standing in the central division and second place in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons are on a five-game winning streak heading into Tuesday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Update on former Tar Heels in the NBA:
Vince Carter, New Jersey Nets - Started at forward in all three games. He recorded his sixth double-double of the season by scoring 39 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the Nets' 94-85 victory over the Indiana Pacers. The Nets are on a four-game winning streak heading into Tuesday night's home game against the Pacers.
Brendan Haywood, Washington Wizards - Started at center in all three games. He scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds in the Wizards' 96-95 victory over the Utah Jazz. Haywood currently ranks eighth in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game and 15th in blocks.
Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards - Missed all three games and has been placed on the injured list with tendinitis in his right knee
Jeff McInnis, Cleveland Cavaliers - Started at guard in all three games. He scored 12 points in each game and had six assists in two. McInnis ranks tenth in the NBA in assists per turnover.
Jerry Stackhouse, Dallas Mavericks - Has been out with a strained groin since March 7 and is currently on the injured list.
Rasheed Wallace, Detroit Pistons - Started at forward in all three games. He scored 24 points in the Pistons' 102-95 win over the Seattle SuperSonics. Wallace also recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the Pistons' 103-92 win over the Toronto Raptors.
